About Hana Čechová
The birth of daughter led Hana to lecturing, when she started thinking about what she was passing on to her and how it related to what she had experienced myself. She went through the course Respect and Be Respected, and later completed a lecturer training led by Dr. Jana Nováčková and Dr. Dina Nevolová, and in connection with that, a semester course in developmental psychology at New York University in Prague.
With lecturing came the questions, what does it actually mean to "teach"? At the Department of Creative Writing and Pedagogy at the DAMU (Theater Faculty) in Prague, she completed a two-year program in Creative Pedagogy – Pedagogical Conditioning, which gave her a foundation for building her own authenticity and natural authority in the teaching process.
In the context of teaching communication skills, she gradually began to see the importance of individual work with thought and emotional patterns. She discovered "mindfulness" and after 6 years of her own practice, she completed a two-year MBSR – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction – tutor training.
