Self-harm is an increasingly common phenomenon among children and adolescents. The issue raises many questions, uncertainties, and concerns. Knowing how to respond well when self-harm occurs in a loved one is extremely important.
- How do you know if a child is self-harming and what else to look out for?
- Why does it happen to children and how should you respond to help them and ideally prevent the problem?
- Practical methods for parents to not feel guilty, but instead be a good ally in the fight against self-harm?
The seminar will be conducted by the lecturers of Linka bezpečí (Safety line) - PhDr. Zuzana Kubíková a Mgr. Zuzana Karásková Ulbertová.
Since 2022, the lecturers have been jointly implementing the project O sebe (About Myself) that focuses on prevention and awareness-raising on the topic of mental health of children and adolescents.
The seminar will be held in the Czech language. Translation into English will be provided for 10 or more participants.
